I can't say enough positive things about Katie and her team at The Event Design Co. We were wary at first about whether we even needed to hire a wedding coordinator, but we were SO glad we did. Katie made the whole planning process fun and enjoyable, and nothing became laborious at all. We appreciated how organized and thorough she was and her calmness made us feel like we were in good hands. And we were! Katie was extremely quick to respond to our concerns and took charge of answering any questions the vendors had. That was especially important leading up to the wedding day, as my husband and I were then able to concentrate on other things and especially be present on our wedding day. Katie and her team were great at taking direction, but were also amazing at offering up suggestions. She is a lifesaver! Everything went off without a hitch and we're so thankful. There were about 1001 decisions to be made when it came to planning our wedding. We were over 4 months out and I was already swearing that the best decision we ever made was hiring Katie from The Event Design company as our Day of/Month of coordinator. 3 weeks after the wedding and not only am I still saying it, but i quite honestly believe the wedding would not have been as perfect as it was without her. I am a type A control freak, who has a hard time letting go of anything. I started out the wedding planning insisting i didn't need help and would do it all myself, but ended up seeking out Katie to assist with the set up and tear down of the wedding day decor. That's all I thought I needed; but Katie went so far above and beyond from the minute she was brought on board. She is so knowledgeable and experienced, that she was there to answer every question, give honest professional advice and look into everything from bakeries, to shuttle services and more. She allowed me to be as involved as I wanted to be and have control over what I needed to, while still taking over all the things I needed help with. When it came to the weeks leading up to the wedding, there is no chance I would have made it through without her. The detail and organization that goes into everything she does is incredible and her calm, but excited energy is infectious. Everyone loved her; but I knew, at the end of the day she had my husband and my back, with our best interests at the forefront at all time. The wedding day was absolutely perfect. Every member of our bridal party (all of which had been in several weddings before) separately commented that they couldn't believe how smoothly the day went. Our schedule was jam packed, but everyone was calm and if anything went wrong I certainly didn't know about it. She executed my vision and took it up another notch entirely. Knowing how capable she was, the girl who lets go of nothing, was able to be completely present and soak up every single moment of the day. I worried about nothing and enjoyed everything and I owe that to The Event Design Company. I would recommend her and her team to anyone planning a wedding, no matter how big, or what you need, you will look back and thank yourself for making that choice!

We cannot thank Katie and her team enough. They were the backbone of our wedding! Katie has this amazing talent of paying attention to detail, remembering even the tiniest instructions, and making the whole wedding process a breeze. From contacting all our vendors ahead of time and confirming timing and all specific details, to complete set up of our venue on day of and even tear down. “This is a long overdue review of the incredible event planning team Katie has put together. My wife and I were originally on the fence about hiring a planner for our wedding day thinking we’d be able to take care of mostly everything ourselves. Deciding to work with Katie was one of the best decisions we made around our wedding, besides for saying our “I do’s” that is. Choosing to get married at a restaurant in the heart of the city we originally didn't think of working with anyone since everything would be in one spot. Then we started to think more about our priorities for the day. We knew we wanted to enjoy our celebrations and to focus on the importance of what we were choosing through marriage. Katie is amazing. She really went above and beyond helping us prepare and think of everything. Hiring Katie and her team was hands down the best decision my husband and I made while wedding planning! Katie was so thorough from our very first emails and we immediately felt confident booking with her. We opted for Day of Coordination, particularly because we had a venue where we were bringing everything in ourselves and were assigned Alysse as our Coordinator. Despite only booking the Day-of package, both Katie and Alysse provided tons of consulting along the way and steered many of our decisions in the right direction. Their professionalism and attention to detail at all of our meetings was impeccable, while also making us feel super comfortable. As a designer myself, I designed/DIYed/provided all of our decor and I cannot put into words how perfectly Alysse and her assistant executed my vision! Everything was stunning and I kept catching myself just staring at the space in awe throughout the night. Vendor coordination was also a total breeze thanks to Alysse which was a huge relief for us in the weeks leading up to our wedding. We truly had the best day possible all thanks to Alysse and Katie and are so thrilled with our special day. My only grievance is that I can't keep emailing them everyday - feels like someone is missing from our lives now that we're back to reality! :)

My daughter and son-in-law had Katie and her staff at The Event Design Co. do wedding day coordination for their wedding on July 15th. I would highly recommend having a coordinator for the day of the wedding! Katie provided exceptional service which included 2-3 meetings prior to the wedding, visit to Fantasy Farm -the wedding venue, coordination with all the vendors prior to wedding, review of vendor contracts, creation of a timeline, set up and tear down and coordination on wedding day. Katie was approachable, flexible, and her calmness kept everyone at ease on wedding day. Katie's expertise was demonstrated when the limo we had booked broke down prior to picking up the bride and her attendants. She kept us informed of what was happening with the replacement limo, reassured us that the guests were informed and being taken care of and strategized on getting us to the ceremony as quickly as possible. Katie organized my baby shower and it was perfect! From cake pops shaped as baby blocks, to a divine candy bar and drinks wrapped in lookalike diapers, it was a shower straight out of a Pinterest board. She thought of everything, things that I could never have thought of myself. My wedding has come and gone and when I look back throughout the entire wedding process, I could definitely say that hiring a wedding coordinator was the best thing that I have done for me and my sanity! Hiring Katie was one of the best things we did for our wedding, we can’t thank her enough for all she did for us. We hired her for the our wedding just over a month out and she was absolutely amazing, from the first meeting she’s easy to talk to and on top of detail. It was great having her working with all the vendors the month leading up and putting together the timeline for the day, I don’t think I could have worked right up to the day before had I not had her.
